The story of Falhid, is much like the ever popular tale of 'Romeo and Juliet' by William Shakespeare. However, in Shakespeares tale, the familes use the death of their children to strengthen and unite them, in this story, the death tears them even further apart, bringing to their knees the two most powerful clans in Falhid.

----------------------------

The story of Falhid, is one of passion, romance, tragedy, war and the blindness that anger bestows upon people.

Evelyn stood, as still as a statue for what felt like hours, but was probably only in the space of a few minutes. The small leafy shrubs that surronded her ankles tickled her bare legs and she longed to reach down and scratch them, but wasn't brave enough to move. It wasn't until she heard the definate sounds of a male growling low in his throat, then the sounds of hoofbeats against dirt road fading into the distance. That she dared to relax. She let out a breathe that she hadn't realized she had been holding, the forest too seemed to relax with her and all of a sudden in a rush of noise. The forest returned to her; birds whistled in the trees, wind whispered to her and the earth moaned forlornely. Evelyn let the tiniest of smiles creep across her jaw...yes they had escaped. Well she had atleast, at this stage she was still unsure of whether the boy had followed or been caught. But she was glad she had managed to save her own skin.

Stretching her legs that had grown stiff from the tense way she had been standing, she leapt nimbly from her hiding spot into the smashed trail she had made in her blind dash through the forest. Human ears would not have been able to detect the wheezing, gasping breaths that sounded like thunder to her, from behind a large fern bush. Grinning in realif for the boys safety, she leapt over to the fern in one lithe bound and threw his hiding across. "He is gone, you can come out now." Her eyes swept over the boys frame, a little surprise at the effort it appeared to have taken him for the run. Teasing laced her voice as she grinned and said; "I thought stealing horses would be an occupation that would require fitness?"

She stepped back a few paces to allow the boy some breathing room, he looked like he needed it. Goofy grin still plastered on her face, she suddenly became once again aware of the fact that her garments hung off her in shreds. Blushing she drew the tattered remains around herself, aware that she looked quite indecent. "What be your name? I'm Evelyn." She let her hand drop to where the boy was sitting, in the intention of helping him stand.

Brining his knees closer to his chest, in attempt to mask his being form any spying eyes that may or may not have spotted his nose first dive into the dirt then his made scramble to the bush. His breathing was ragged as he sat stiffly, anticipating the thunder of a man’s footsteps or the ground trembling pound of hoof beats. He bit his tongue as his imagination played with his nerves, a silent echo of a man’s hunting calls and the baying of hunting dogs, looking for the runaway thief. He screwed his eyes shut, desperately trying to keep his wild thoughts at bay, and his mind on target of escaping if needed. If I’m caught forever may I haunt that bloody man’s dreams he mused silently to himself, finding brief joy in the idea of making a grown man cold sweat in fear of some boy he killed.

Silence of the forest engulfed him in an eerie sort of way. The hoot of a lone owl caused the youth to jump in his skin as he struggled to fight he flee reaction that overcame his better judgment. Again the silence settled over the area, as Alexander opened his eyes and began to gaze curiously between the fern leaves. His eyes wandered over the small path he and the maiden had carved into the undergrowth then the small reflections of the tree filtered moonlight that flickered softly on bushes and trees alike. The beauty of it all enchanted the boy in such away he could actually concentrate on what he was feeling for the first time in his life.
The melodic voice of the his hiding companion startled him, making his heart skip a few beats and his eyes grow wide in fear of it was the man. He sighed softly realizing it was only her and let his legs stretch out slightly from his chest hold. Her tease made him cross at first then he chuckled softly, “you would think but it ain’t really needed for the horse does all the runnin.’

His changed manner quickly changed to his drab expression of before, still remembering that she was the reason he lost the horse. A frown made way onto the once cheerful mouth as he watched her fidget with her clothing and a flush come to her cheeks. He sighed deeply at her question and ignored offered hand, rising to his feet and dusting the seat of his pants off. “Alexander” he answered stiffly, glancing around the area, taking in the scenery and such.
